0090 - Day 0 - Beijing 1/6/19

Day 0: today we have to finalise the packing and get the tanks brimmed. That, I think, is it.
Yesterday we got our temporary registration and drivers licence’s picked the car up from the warehouse, sat in a very slow moving traffic jam for an hour or so and then hung around waiting for scrutineering and sign on. So we’ve got the route books, map book, time card, first bulletin - I thinks that’s all.
Now that’s all done, we just need to get packed and ready for an early start tomorrow. So no red wine tonight. That was a rookie error last night!

update: Gidget is packed and fueled (literally brimmed - the attendant was very patient with us as we had to dip the tanks to work out how much we needed to give him before he could dispense 😂) and everyone is now scrutineered and now relaxing (or in our case working out what to do with all the stuff we can’t fit in the car 😂). Here are some photos from the car park to give an idea of the variety of cars participating...and for Sarah 😂 (sorry no Mini this year, but a Moggie is in there).
